MET Hun­gary has signed agree­ment to take over GDF Suez’s Hun­garian re­tail elec­tri­city port­fo­lio

The ac­quis­i­tion is a res­ult of a tender pro­cess and cov­ers 0.5 per­cent of the Hun­garian elec­tri­city mar­ket. Com­pet­i­tion au­thor­ity ap­proval pro­cess is un­der­way.

MET has won GDF Suez Energy Holding’s restricted tender procedure on the takeover its retail electricity portfolio in Hungary which covers the 0,5 percent of the market. The tender was announced by GDF Suez in Summer 2014. The takeover process will be closed after the approval of the Hungarian Competition Authority.
